Book Review:

Seventeen years after The Help, Kathryn Stockett returns with her instant New York Times Bestseller, THE CALAMITY CLUB. Depression-era Oxford, Mississippi, 1933: Meg, an eleven-year-old orphan fighting to keep her spirit unbowed. Birdie, unmarried and outspoken, discovers that her sister’s charmed life is built on lies. Charlie is a woman with little left to lose. When their fates collide, they hatch an audacious plan to help them reclaim control of their lives. Heartfelt, hilarious, and deeply moving, Kathryn Stockett’s triumphant return is an epic testament to underestimated women who know that calamity can be the spark of new beginnings.
